About Me

My name is Adam Sheets. I currently work at Liberty Tax Service as a Graphic Design Specialist for our online tax product - eSmart Tax. I am a fundamental element in the e-mail marketing department. From concept to coding, segmenting target audiences to e-mail analytics, I am intrinsically involved with every step of the process. I work with a team of five for marketing, and ten including the product team. In a seasonal industry, such as taxes, timing is everything and we at eSmart Tax are right on point.

My History

I have always been interested with art. Ever since I was little, I watched my grandmother paint. She is very gifted, and past her interests on to me. Through out high school I took art classes, but I was never defined by any click. I was heavily involved in sports, music and church. I was a football player and swimmer in high school, a cheerleader in college and avid water-sport enthusiast. I play bass guitar, and was apart of my church's youth group, main service, and Young Life bands.

When I went to college at James Madison University, I applied to the school of Arts and Design. I did not think that Art was what I truly wanted to do, but I knew I had some talent so why not. At first I wanted to be a painter. I thought that computers were "ruining" the traditional forms of art, such as painting. It wasn't until my Sophomore year - when you have to pick - that I tried a graphic design class just to see what computer and art were all about. I fell in love with it immediately. From there I majored in Graphic Design, taking several 3D animation classes to suit.

I began dating my wife, Anna, my at the beginning or my Senior year of college. We were married just before I graduated. From there we wanted to go somewhere new, so we left town and went to Virginia Beach. I quickly landed a job at Liberty tax Service and I have been learning ever since.

Region 1 All-Decade team - 2010, Team Captain - 2004-2006, 1st Team All-State Middle Linebacker - 2006, All Area Defensive team - 2006, All-Region 1 Team & Battlefield's Defensive Player of the Year (coaches pick) - 2006, 2nd team All-Region Offensive Guard - 2005
